"The world has lost the greatest country singer of all time." Merle Haggard on George Jones
A time for respects, retrospectives, and what he meant to this music they call country. As fans, we were blessed to have such a sublime talent that was one of us for so long. He made you feel it and you felt it deep.
Thanks for everything and travel easy Brother Jones, the rest of us will be chasing you for a long, long time.
As for our little part, we’re knocking out tunes for the new record which you’ll have before the end of the year. But in the next few weeks, we’ll have something for you to chew on between now and then.
Show wise, we’ll be at Doc's on the 10th, Ginny’s on the 18th, and the White Horse on the 8th and 22nd. Again, check out the latest good word on club and Them Duqaines from our friends at KUT Austin.
As always, thanks for coming out, dancing, and having a good time with us.
We’ll see you next time and ‘til then, Keep It Country Baby.
Welcome to our new home! This is the spot for the latest news and updates for all things Them Duqaines.
Last month, we had a great string of shows, including several during SXSW. During SX, we got the chance to catch up with some old friends and lucky enough to make a few new ones. Thanks for coming out, dancing, and keeping it country with us. We hope you had as good a time as we did.
Right now, we’ve got lots of new songs finding their way into the rotation. If you’ve seen the last couple shows, you may have heard “Runty,” “Summer Song,” “Big Blue,” or “Memories Tonight.” These are just a few we’re excited about and will be on the next record.
There are plenty more where those came from and, in April, you can hear them on the 11th and 25th at the White Horse, the 13th at Swan Dive, and the world renown Ginny’s Little Longhorn on the 27th. Stay tuned for the latest show updates.
We’ll see you there, thanks again for stopping by, and ‘til then, Keep It Country.
Want Them Duqaines to play at your next shindig? We can be there.
