August in Texas is our favorite time of year because of the heat, humidity, and honky tonkin’ with vertical speed and uncommon noise.
Appropriately for the weather, we’re working over a hot stove getting some new tunes out for you. It won’t be long now, and let’s just say you’ll be enjoying a new Them Duqaines’ record with your turkey and dressing. Stay tuned for details.
Many thanks to Alex De Vore of the Santa Fe Journal for the wonderful write-up on the band, the White Horse, and the Austin scene in general. We’re lucky to be part of such a talented and supportive community. Thanks again to all of the dancers, barstaffs, patrons, fellow musicians, and drinkers–y’all are what makes it happen!
This month, we’re touching back down at ABGB on the 15th and make it out to Spicewood at It’s All Good Barbeque on the 23rd. We’re looking forward to all.
And of course, we’ll also see you at the White Horse on the 1st, 14th, and 28. Check out the latest good word on club and Them Duqaines from our friends at KUT Austin.
As always, thanks for coming out, dancing, and having a good time with us.
We’ll see you next time and ‘til then, Keep It Country Baby.
Welcome to our new home! This is the spot for the latest news and updates for all things Them Duqaines.
Last month, we had a great string of shows, including several during SXSW. During SX, we got the chance to catch up with some old friends and lucky enough to make a few new ones. Thanks for coming out, dancing, and keeping it country with us. We hope you had as good a time as we did.
Right now, we’ve got lots of new songs finding their way into the rotation. If you’ve seen the last couple shows, you may have heard “Runty,” “Summer Song,” “Big Blue,” or “Memories Tonight.” These are just a few we’re excited about and will be on the next record.
There are plenty more where those came from and, in April, you can hear them on the 11th and 25th at the White Horse, the 13th at Swan Dive, and the world renown Ginny’s Little Longhorn on the 27th. Stay tuned for the latest show updates.
We’ll see you there, thanks again for stopping by, and ‘til then, Keep It Country.
Want Them Duqaines to play at your next shindig? We can be there.
